Customer review request scripts

Ready-to-send messages designed to prompt more customers to leave reviews.

Customer review request scripts

Send within 1–2 days of a great experience, with a direct review link.

How to build your send list: export this month's completed jobs/orders from your CRM, invoicing tool (e.g. QuickBooks, Jobber, Square), or booking system and pull each customer's name, mobile, and email into one sheet.

Email

Subject: Quick favor, [First name]?

Hi [First name], it was a pleasure helping you with [job/service]. If you have 60 seconds, a quick review really helps other [type of customer] find us — and tells us how we did.

Leave a review here: [direct review link]

Thank you!
[Your name], [Business]

Follow-up (send 3–4 days later if no review)

Subject: Re: Quick favor, [First name]?

Hi [First name], just floating this back to the top of your inbox — no worries if you've been busy. If [service] went well, a quick line here would mean a lot: [direct review link]. And if anything fell short, reply and tell me — I'd genuinely like to make it right.

Thanks either way,
[Your name], [Business]

SMS

Hi [First name], thanks for choosing [Business]! If you were happy with [service], would you mind leaving a quick review? It means a lot: [direct review link]

In person / follow-up

"If you were happy with how it went, the best way to help us is a quick Google review — I can text you the link right now if that's easier."

Tips

  • Send just one follow-up — most people who leave a review do it after a gentle reminder, not the first ask; more than one reminder feels like nagging
  • Always use a direct link to the review form
  • Ask when satisfaction is highest (right after delivery)
  • Ask every customer, and never incentivize reviews or filter by rating — gating and paid reviews violate platform policies
