Bring your list from Mailchimp or Constant Contact

Export your contacts as a CSV and paste or upload them here — with two honest things to know first.

Already have a list somewhere else? You can bring it over. The move is a simple export-then-import, but there are two honest things to know before you do.

1. Export a CSV from your current tool

In Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or most email tools, look for Export (often under Audience or Contacts). You'll get a CSV file — a spreadsheet of your contacts.

2. Bring it in here

Open Email marketing in your dashboard menu and either Upload CSV or open the file, copy the rows, and paste them in. We read the common export shapes automatically:

  • A header row like Email Address, First Name, Last Name — we find the email column and keep the name.
  • "Name <email@example.com>", one per line.
  • A plain list of addresses, one per line or separated by commas.

Duplicates are removed automatically.

Honest note 1: your plan's contact limit still applies

Importing doesn't lift your plan's stored-contact cap:

  • Free — 100 contacts
  • Starter — 500
  • Pro — 2,500
  • Growth — 10,000 (and more on higher plans)

If your list is bigger than your plan holds, we'll add as many as fit and tell you plainly how many were left out — nothing is hidden. Upgrade to make room for the rest. See Free vs paid.

Honest note 2: unsubscribe status does NOT come across

This is the important one. When you import a CSV, we bring in email addresses and names only — we cannot see who previously unsubscribed or never opted in, because that status isn't in a plain export we can trust.

So the responsibility is yours: only import people who gave you permission, and do not import anyone who unsubscribed from you elsewhere. Emailing people who opted out is against anti-spam law and gets your messages marked as spam, which hurts delivery to everyone on your list. If in doubt, in your old tool filter the export to *subscribed / active contacts only* before you bring it over.

Moving your website too?

If you're switching platforms altogether, the safe switch guide covers the whole move at a guided pace. To keep your inbox working while you point your domain at your new site, read Move your website to us without breaking your email — remember we send from your own domain but don't host your mailboxes, so your email stays where it is.
